Ada Theresa Marks' Obituary
Ada Theresa "Tee" Marks, 94, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at Elm Croft of Muncie. She has left this earth, but she will always be in our hearts.
She was born in Dunkirk, August 11, 1916, the daughter of James Blaine and Anna (Hobright) Faulkner and graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1934.
Tee and Darrell Marks were married May 29, 1941. They lived at Hills and Dales in Selma for most of their married life, raising their daughter.
Mrs. Marks retired from Ball State University, where she worked in the admissions office.
Tee was a charter member of the RFD Extension Homemakers Club, also a member of the Selma United Methodist Church, and the Selma Women's Club.
She volunteered with RSVP and Ball Memorial Hospital, and was very active in the Ball Hospital Cardiac Rehab program and was the first person to reach 2000 hours of participation.
Tee was an avid Ball State Basketball and football fan as well as the Colts and Pacers.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephany Huffman, (husband, Rodney), Selma; an adored granddaughter, Heather Bright, (husband, Derick) and three great-grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Bren, Ella, and Marcus; a half brother, Robert Faulkner, Ft. Wayne; a half sister, Beverly Mraz, San Pedro, California; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Esther and Don Martin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell; two sisters, Martha Sue Faulkner and Rosamond Numbers; two brothers, Harry James Faulkner and Paul William Faulkner; two half sisters, Jacqueline Peterson and Miriam Diane Faulkner.
The family would like to express their thanks to Tee's Elm Croft family for their love, compassion and out- standing care given to her and her family.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Mark Ellcessor officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Family and friends may call Thursday, February 10, 2011, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to service time on Friday.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
