Adam Leroy Dickey, 90, of Upland passed away Tuesday November 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Parker City, Ind. on November 28, 1921 to Ralph and Ruth (Livingston) Dickey, who preceded him in death.
Adam was an Army Air Corps. Veteran He was employed with Warner Gear for 39 years in management as a Quality Control Inspector. He had a number of memberships including the Warner Gear Sympathy Club, Past President of Warner Gear Management Club and was a current member of Gaston United Methodist Church. Other past memberships include Past Head Usher and Financial Recorder at Hazelwood Christian Church, Muncie; Past President of Gethsemane United Methodist Church Men''s Club, Muncie and an Elder and Deacon at Bay Point Christian Church, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Some of Adam''s hobbies include boating on the lake, ice fishing, automobiles and mechanics, gardening, and bike riding 20-25 miles a day in Florida for 20 years, and walking in the Muncie Mall and in St. Petersburg Fla.
Survivors include loving wife of 40 years Marilou Lambert Dickey of Upland; stepchildren Linda Lambert of Upland, Michael (Tricia) Lambert of Colorado Springs, CO, David Lambert of Xiamen, China, and Rebecca (Steve) Klingbeil of Chesterton, IN; 6 step-grandchildren; brothers Robert Dickey of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Bill Dickey of Muncie; sisters-in law Jo Dickey of Lexington, S.C. and Carolyn West of St. Petersburg, FL; many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by first wife Helen (David) Dickey; sisters Delphine, Pauline, and Juanita; brothers Rolland and Curney.
Friends may call on Thursday November 15, 2012 from 3-5 pm at the Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
