IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alan Jan
Druckemiller
July 20, 1968 – September 15, 2020
Alan Jan Druckemiller, 52, a young man originally from Muncie, passed away in Muncie on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. He was born on July 20, 1968, the son of Jan and Marianne (Morris) Druckemiller.
After the early passing of his mother (age 6), Alan and his younger brother, Mitchell, were raised by their father with considerable help from their paternal and maternal grandparents. Alan grew up in Muncie and graduated from Wapahani High School in 1986, where he was an outstanding member (pitcher) of a highly successful baseball program, earning a college scholarship to Tri-State University. Alan continued his baseball career there and graduated from Tri-State with a Degree in Business in 1991. Alan's career then began as an insurance adjuster in Indiana, Iowa, and Florida. An avid outdoorsman, Alan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating with his family and friends at Lake Webster and Lake Monroe.
In his last days, Alan was guided and supported by good friends of his father, (a Muncie Fireman) Richard Huff, Tom Sloan, and Jeff Granger. A very special thank you also goes to the care that was given by a cousin, Angie (Duane) Wicker.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Jan and Marianne (Morris) Druckemiller; grandmother, Irene Druckemiller; grandparents, John and Margaret Morris; and Uncle Larry Druckemiller (Sharon).
Survivors include his wife, Heather Druckemiller of Weatherford, Texas; brother, Mitchell Druckemiller (Wendy) of Bloomington; uncle Gary Druckemiller (Mary Jane) of Oxford, Mississippi; loving aunt Sandy Hitchcock (Terry) of Muncie; and cousins Lance Druckemiller, Allyson Ward, and Stephanie Varner.
No services will be held due to the viral pandemic. A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Alan's life, after cremation, at Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Memoriams in Alan's name should be directed to The American Heart Association. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com.
