Albert Fuston Fugett, 70, of Homosassa, Florida, formerly of Redkey, Indiana passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in Crystal River, FL. He was born on December 19, 1939 in Portland, IN. Albert graduated from Redkey High School.
After 32 years of service, Albert retired as a mechanical engineer at Borg Warner. Albert was also a Real Estate investor, business owner, gospel singer, musician, and inventor. His love in life was spreading the word of Jesus Christ, his wife, family, friends, fishing, singing for the Lord and writing books. He was also a member of the House of Power Church of Hernando. Albert moved to Homosassa 14 years ago from Muncie.
In addition to his parents, Cecil F. and Mable V. (Smith) Fugett, Albert was preceded in death by his brother Elmer Fugett and sister Eva Welch.
Albert is survived by his wife Patricia Fugett of Homosassa; sons Scott Fugett and Dallas Fugett (wife, Tammy) all of Indiana; daughters Stacy Alexander (husband, Jeff) of Indiana and Autumn Fugett of Florida; Cindy Smith (husband: Gerald) of South Carolina; Brenda Barcenas (husband: Fancisco) of Kentucky; sisters Lucille Tarter (husband, Russell) and Joy Martin; brother Ernie Fugett (wife, Lois); brother-in-law Ted Welch; sister-in-law Judy Fugett; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be Monday, December 13, 2010 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Craig Cotherman will officiate the service. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
