Obituary

Alice Lykins, 82, passed away Tuesday morning, October 13, 2009 at Muncie Health and Rehab Center.
She was born May 21, 1927 in Albany, Indiana, the daughter of Lewis Ford and Nola (Brown) Ford. Alice graduated from Albany High School in 1945 and moved to the Muncie area in the late 1940's.
She was a homemaker and was employed by Delaware County Children's Home. Alice had recently resided on Andover Ave. in Muncie and was a member of Bible Holiness Church. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include her brother, Jack Ford (wife-Jan), Anderson, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Richard Milhollin, Michigan and several nieces and nephews, including Bonnie Mank.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Lykins, who passed away April 19, 1971; three sisters, Lucille, Marjorie and Marilyn; one brother, Lewie Ford and special friends at Muncie Health and Rehab Center.
A service to celebrate Alice's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie.
