Alta H. Davidson, 91, of Coconut Creek, FL, formerly of Muncie, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014, at North Broward Medical Center in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Alta was born July 10, 1922 in Byrdstown, TN to the late Joseph and Mary Ellen (Pierce) Ferrell. Alta was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.

Alta is survived by three children, Betty Jean Puls (husband Alan) of Lutz, FL, Dennis Wayne Davidson of Lynnville, TN, and Dolores Jones (husband Keith) of West Palm Beach, FL; a brother, Charles Ferrel (wife Ruth) of Byrdstown, TN; a sister, Brenda Smith of Byrdstown, TN; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephew.

Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Davidson.

A funeral service to celebrate Alta''s life will be held at 12:00pm Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
