Alvin Noble "Al" DuBois, age 92, of Muncie, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 with his family at his side. He was born February 10, 1919 in New Madrid, MO to John A. and Betty Doll (Kettles) Dubois. Al was a Journeyman Electrician at Delco Battery for 36 years, retiring in 1977.He also ran B & C Body Shop in his earlier days. He married the former Castola (Cathy) Usselton and she preceded him in death on July 24, 1999. He attended Northside Assembly of God and he was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Al is survived by his daughters, Avagale "Gale" Love, (husband Bob), and Carolyn June Perry, (husband Charles) both of Muncie; sister, Demple Floyd, of MI; grandchildren, Cindy Short (husband Doug), Lori Ann Hiatt (husband Vance), Debra Johnson (husband Jerry), all of Muncie and Catherine Suding (husband Bernie) of Sullivan, IL; great grandchildren, Michael Howell of Sullivan, IL, Elizabeth Driscall (husband Stephen) of Yorktown, Jordan and Alex Johnson, of Cowan; great great grandchildren Jolissa and soon to be born Abigail Driscall; several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Cathy, and brothers, Steve, John and Willard DuBois.
Private funeral services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, 47303 with Pastor Carlton C. Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family request Memorial Contributions to Northside Assembly of God Church in memory of Al.
