Anita Lynn (Reagon) Upchurch, 67, lifelong resident of Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with her Heavenly Father after an extended illness, surrounded by her family.
Anita is survived by her loving family; husband Sherman G. Upchurch; daughter Candice Upchurch; son Aaron G. Upchurch; grandchildren Ben, Caleb, and Hannahjo Upchurch; step-grandchildren, Maverick (Kathy) Rastakhiz, Jonann Osborn, and Makenzie Turner. Her mother, Christine Reagon; sister Judy (Robert) Hahn; great nephew Stevie Ray Hahn; In-laws Shelby (Rhodene) Upchurch and Herschel (April) Upchurch; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Anita''s father, William Reagon and nephew Robert Hahn II, mother-in-law Jewel Phillips, preceded her in death.
Anita was owner of the Hair Shoppe and enjoyed her clientele for 40 years until her retirement in 2011. Anita was a longtime member of the Foursquare Gospel Church and shared her faith in God through her many dedicated missions.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 21st, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor''s Warren Willie and Lane Fairchild will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Foursquare Gospel Church with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
