Anna Lucille Riggins, 87 of Muncie, died Sunday evening, April 24th, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 6th, 1928 in Washington, IN and was the daughter of the late Roy Alan & Anna Bernice (Coyle) Brock.
Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and raising flowers. Anna was employed by Perry Elementary from 1969- 1986 as a custodian, where she was known by the students as "Grandma Riggins". She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her two children; son Jeffrey Lee Riggins (Sandra) of Waxhaw, NC; daughter Patti Jo Mace of Muncie; daughter-in-law Lydia Riggins of Parker City; seven grandchildren, Bradley Riggins Sr. (Brandi) of Muncie, Brian Riggins (Tiffany) of Muncie, Brock Riggins (Mandi) of Parker City, Brianna Riggins (Randy McCormick) of Parker City, Jon Hill (Erica) of Selma, Jeffrey Riggins (Heather) of Farmland, and Jenn Earehart (Jay) of Ridgeville; twenty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister Jean Underhill of Humble, TX. In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Lee Riggins on April 16th, 2016, a son Gregory Alan Riggins; brother James Brock and a sister Judy Atchley.
Funeral Services for Anna will be held Thursday, April 28th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Reffitt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Southern Care Hospice for the care and support shown and given to Anna and the family
