Anna Louise Booher, 90, of Muncie died early Saturday morning February 6th, 2016 at West Minister Village. She was born October 12th, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Leeds, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Percy Bert and Mary Pauline (Jones) Pledger.
Louise graduated from Leeds High School in 1943. After graduation she met her husband Max. R. Booher who was an Army master Sergeant stationed at Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama in 1944. They married March 25th, 1946 and returned to Max''s hometown of Muncie, Indiana. They were married until Max''s passing in August of 1977. Louise retired from Ball State after 23 years where she worked as an administrative assistant in the Political Science, Academic Opportunities (AOP), and Housing departments. Louise attended Gethsemane United Methodist Church. She lived the past six years at West Minister Village in Muncie where she made many good friends. Her family is grateful for the excellent care she received while there.
Louise is survived by her three children, Larry (Diana) Booher of Dyer, IN; Paula (Paul) Conner of Kokomo, IN and Doug (Anne) Booher of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Bober of Dyer and Brian Booher of Chicago; one great-grandchild Jared Bober; one brother James Pledger of California; one sister Helen Eagan of Birmingham, AL; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Max Booher; one brother Bert Pledger, Jr. and two sisters Elizabeth Harris and Frances Clark.
Funeral Services for Louise will be held Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Collins officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Gethsemane United Methodist Church with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
