Arthur Snider Jr., 82 of Albany passed on to his heavenly home early Tuesday morning, May 23, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born March 21, 1935 in Muncie and was the son of the late Meardth Arthur Sr. & Hazel Grace (Moore) Snider.
Art loved the Lord and serving him. He attended Full Gospel Temple. Arthur served the city of Elwood as a police officer for 6 years and was a truck driver for 15 years. He loved spending time with his family, watching westerns, watching racing and going fishing.
Art is survived by his wife Marlene Ross of Albany; a daughter Kelly Wilson (Daniel) of Brownsburg; a step-son Chris Ross (Mona) of Muncie; four grandchildren Kaleb and Noah Wilson of Brownsburg and Melia Ozbun and Jordan Ross of Muncie; a sister Pat Foster of Muncie; niece Kathy Foster (Kerry) of Gaston and a nephew Bruce Scott (Nancy) of Oregon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Snider in 2000.
Funeral Services for Art will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastors Denny and John Helton officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
