Arthur Joseph Welch, 84, of Muncie, died Monday morning, January 26th, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 6th, 1930 in Chicago, IL and was the son of the late Joseph S. & Valeria (Gielszewski) Welch.
Arthur loved fishing and hunting, his favorite pass time was singing Karaoke. Arthur proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp, during the Korea Conflict. He was awarded the Purple Heart along with numerous other medals.
Arthur is survived by his wife Deborah Joy (Wade) Welch of Muncie; four sons, Arthur T. Welch (Susan) of Muncie, David Welch of Milwaukee, WI, Tim Schoeff of Muncie, and Christopher Schoeff (Kim) of Muncie; a daughter Lisa Schoeff of Muncie; nine grandchildren, David Welch, Crystal Clairday, Josh Crededio, Kilynn Schoeff, Shyla Burke, Randy Burke, Aaron Burke, Carissa Schoeff, and Mark Haire; sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Pach and a great-granddaughter Dakota Welch.
A Memorial Service for Arthur will be held at a later date. The Family wishes to thank Hospice, with a special thank you to Corby, Cera, Julie, and Diane. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home
