Ava Gail (Martin) Hare "Gail", 54, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.
She was born on July 7, 1953 in Hartford City the daughter of Perry Lee Martin and Joyce Y. (Collins) Martin. Gail graduated from Blackford High School in 1971. She married Jeffrey C. Hare on March 17, 1989 in Hartford City. Gail loved her family and was a homemaker, mother and wife.
She was an animal lover and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Gail will be sadly missed by her husband, Jeffrey C. Hare of Montpelier; her parents, Perry Lee Martin and Joyce Y. Martin of Hartford City; daughter, Melinda L. (husband, Jeffery) Strait of Hartford City; sons, Caleb R. Hare of Montpelier, Zackary C. Hare of Dunkirk; grandchildren, Preston R. Strait, Kaitlyn E. Strait, Braxton L. Strait, Destiny D. Hare, Gavin Z. Hare; great-grandchild, Faith N. Abbott; sisters, Joy (husband, Ervin) Braner of Montpelier; Lori J. (husband, Tony) McCoin of Montpelier; brother, Bruce A. (wife, Cheryl) Martin of Hartford City; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation for Gail will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 and from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High Street, Hartford City.
Funeral service for Gail will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Keplinger Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Neel from the Calvary Christian the Lighthouse Church officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN.
