Barbara Ann Jackson, 70, of Parker City, died Sunday morning, February 16th, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born April 11th, 1943 in Muncie, and was the daughter of the late Henry O Neil & Imogene (Kennedy) Brooks.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved flowers, yard work, and reading. Barbara retired from Wal-Mart Garden Center in 2010. She loved wintering in Florida at Pelican Pier in Ellenton, FL.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, David Allan Jackson of Parker City; her six children, Dayna Powers (David) of Fishers, Lisa Courtney (Steve) of Topeka, IN, Christine Feuston (Brad) of Wolcottville, Timothy Combs of Muncie, Kelli Combs of Muncie, and Samuel Combs (Katy) of Muncie; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister Peggy Bragg (Jack) of Muncie; an aunt Janie Kennedy of Wolcottville; three nephews and two cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Brandy Courtney.
A Celebration of Barbara''s Life will be held Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 from 10:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will be privately in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
