Obituary

Barbara Jean Catron Thornburg, 67, of Albany, died unexpectedly Friday morning, April 11th, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born November 22nd, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH, and was the daughter of the late Willard Clair & Edna Pauline (Dick) Corner.
Barbara retired in 1996 from Colony Printing & Labeling in Eaton, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, painting, and collecting musical water globes. Barbara loved caring and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She and her husband Richard enjoyed traveling in their motor home on vacations. She was a former member of Job''s Daughters.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 18 years Richard Wayne Thornburg of Albany; son Michael Shane Catron (Patricia), and grandson Jarrod Catron; daughter Michelle Leigh An Lecroy, and grandson Hunter Holbrook, granddaughter Megan Holbrook; son Mark Alan Thornburg, granddaughter Kayla Bork (Greg), great-grandchildren Kennidi and Raigen Bork, grandsons Branson, Trenton, and Matthew; daughter Leigh Ann Grider (Gary), granddaughters Emily & Natalie Grider; son Chad Aaron Thornburg (Denise), grandsons Brendon and Cameron; sisters Connie Wyrick Geiling (Bill) and Gloria McKinley (Greg), step-sisters Dianna Hendricks and Connie Duckworth; step-brother Bobby Mansfield (Sandy); brother-in-law Robert E. Thornburg; and stepmother Margaret Corner; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends and special neighbors. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Catron in 1991; brother Larry Corner, and step-brother Charlie Mansfield, and mother-in-law Onedia Thornburg.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held Monday, April 14th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Frank Oakman officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call Sunday, April 13th, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday from 10-11 a.m... Memorial Contributions maybe made to the Riley Children''s Hospital (in honor of her grandchildren) with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
