Barbara Ann Lyding, 80, of Hartford City, died early Thursday morning, at IU Health Blackford County Hospital. She was born January 22, 1933, in Hartford City, and was the daughter of the late Carl & Helen (Lenard) Futrell.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to do hobbies, crafts, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed being with her family. Barbara worked at RCA for 20 years, retiring in 1968.
Barbara is survived by three daughters, Robin Charnley (Mark) of Hartford City, Ruth Thornburg (Robert) of Garland, TX, and Laura Morris of SD.; six grandchildren; one brother Robert Futrell of Hartford City. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hans Lyding, and two brothers.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held privately. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements have been placed in the care and trust of Garden View Funeral Home.
