Barbara Nelson, 69, of Eaton, IN went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 22, 2007 in Muncie, IN. She was born on September 2, 1938 in Muncie, IN the daughter of William and Margaret (Welker) Eadens. On July 24, 1964 in Muncie, IN she married William (Bill) Nelson who survives.
She was a member of the True Light Baptist Church in Muncie. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family feels comfort knowing she is in Heaven.
Surviving relatives include her loving husband of 43 years William (Bill) Nelson of Eaton, IN; four daughters and one son, Debbie Thompson (husband: Donald) of Swayzee, IN; Kathy Mong (husband: Mike) of Muncie; Ray "Butch" Bird, Jr. of Farmland, IN; Linda Gibson (husband: Greg) of Muncie; Kimberly Puckett (husband: David) of Muncie; one sister, Shirly Sue Alder; two brothers, Billy Joe and Irvin Eadens; one sister-in-law, Shirley Nelson; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a large extended church family at True Light Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 28, 2007 at True Light Baptist Church 805 N. Country Club Road Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the True Light Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to be made to the True Light Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Barbara Nelson.
