Barbara Elaine (Weaver) Plymale, 84. of Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2022. Born the eldest of six to Arley and Hazel (Hahn) Weaver on September 11, 1938.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert "Buddy" Weaver and sister Kathy (Weaver) Schoeff.
Barbara graduated from Selma High School (Selma, IN) in 1957, and is remembered by her classmates as a graceful skater, and always warm and friendly.
She married the love of her life Roland Gene Plymale, of Muncie, on June 15, 1958. They were blessed with two daughters and had celebrated 64 marital years together filled with love, companionship, devotion, and laughter. Barbara spent her life dedicated to serving others, demonstrated by serving for many years as Librarian at Royerton Elementary School (Muncie, IN). Treasurer for the Delaware Community School Corporation and 12 years on the School Board for the Delaware Community School Corporation. Following retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Roland Plymale of Muncie: daughter Robin (Jeff) Koenker of Muncie; daughter Tracy (Pete) Nygaard of Indianapolis; grandson Clayton (Rebecca) Nygaard of Katy, TX; grandson Ross Nygaard (Scott Robinson) of Indianapolis,, brother Bill (Patty) Weaver of Tennessee; brother Gary Weaver of Parker City; sister Kay Weaver of Parker City;: many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews; four granddogs and three great-granddogs.
Calling will be on Friday December 2, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. St. Rd. 3 Muncie, IN 47303. Service will be at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens Of Memory Cemetery.
