Barbara (Hussey) Ridgway, 76, passed away, January 28, 2011 at Morrison Woods Health Campus.
She was born on November 23, 1934, in Summitville, the daughter of Morton and Doris (Duert) Hussey. She worked for many years for Armstrong/Kerr Glass in Dunkirk and also Area Six and Indiana Gas. Barbara attended Harrison Township schools as a child and went on to receive her G.E.D. at the age of fifty-five. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, surfing the internet, listening to music, and reading.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Hessong (husband, Wayne), Rebecca Porter (husband, Ray), and David Ridgway (wife, Hannah); her step-children, Bruce Ridgway, Terry Ridgway (wife, Valerie), and Susan Duran (husband, David); thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Ridgway in 2001; her parents; two sisters, Phyllis Wirt and Virginia Springman; two brothers, Paul Hussey and Herbert Hussey; and a grandson, Stephen Peterson.
Services will be held, 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, two hours prior to the service time on Tuesday.
