Barbara Jean Bell, 85, of Muncie, died Monday late Monday evening, April 13th, 2015 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie. She was born June 10th, 1929 in Kennard, IN and was the daughter of the late Orie & Norma (Peasley) Todd.
Barbara retired from BMH Home Healthcare. She was an active member of the Redkey Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed traveling, going to flea markets, going out to eat, and watching movies.
Barbara is survived by her husband Melvin George Bell of Muncie; two sons Bryan "Buddy" Carrier of Muncie and Jeff Bell (Brenda) of Albany; seven daughters, Norma Jean Bowden (William) of Muncie, Connie Hollowell of Muncie, Cathy White of Kissimmee, FL, Lorrina Temple (Loren) of Muncie, Ann Matherly (Paul) of Anderson, Kathy Walker (Garland) of Redkey, and Pamela Blythe of St. Augustine, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother Delbert L. Howell (Evelyn) of South Carolina. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Randy Lyons.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held Friday, April 17th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Junior Bilbrey officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
