Beatrice Hollars, 93 of Muncie, died Sunday, October 16th, 2016 at her residence. She was born June 26th, 1923 in Somerset, KY and was the daughter of the late James and Pearl (Brown) Denham.
Beatrice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She attended church at Glad Tidings and Riverview Nazarene. Beatrice was a very active individual; she loved to walk and walked every day until recent years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. Beatrice retired from Container Corporation after 28 years of service.
Beatrice is survived by three daughters, Georgia Ann Shaft-Wood of Perry, MI, Betty Jane Miller (Larry) of Springport, and Brenda Sue Bebout-Nahvi (Randy) of Bloomington, IN; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren; two brothers James Denham Jr. and Harry Moore Denham (Betty) both of Peru; a sister Norma Jean Montgomery of Somerset, KY; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Hollars; a son William Hollars, Jr.; two daughters Peggy Hollars and Edith Mae Mandy; twelve brothers and sisters; and a very special friend Mrs. King also preceded her in death.
Funeral Services for Beatrice will be held Friday, October 21st, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Church or the charity of the donor''s choice, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
