Benjamin Grady Williams, 33, died in his sleep on February 14, 2008, at 7:30 p.m., in Indianapolis, of a heart attack.
He was born December 3, 1974, in Muncie, graduated from Yorktown High School in 1993, and remained close with many friends he met there. Following graduation he attended Ivy Tech College and Ball State University. He was employed at the United States Postal Service in Indianapolis.
Grady loved being with his friends and family. Helping his friends was his passion. Surviving are his parents, Grady "Rock" and Judi (Johnson) Williams; grandmothers, Alice Johnson and Elizabeth Caldwell; aunts and uncles, Rex and Carol Williams, Mark and Kris Williams, Janie Schuck and Denny and Shirley Digman; cousins, Ben Holaday, (wife, Heather), Carrie Scamihorn, Heather Atkinson, (husband, Caleb), John Holaday, Jacob Williams, (wife, Audrey), Caleb Williams, (wife, Dana), Ryan Williams, (wife, Robyn), and Mariah Elder, (husband, Matt); the PALS he remained close with from his high school friends included, Mike Yost, Ken Lynn, Chad Walker, Drew Bates, Jason Edward and Steve Logan. Other special friends include Micah Keesling, Courtney Stoops, Amber Whitaker, Joy Edwards, Don Paff, Matt Craw and Joe Craw.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ben Johnson, Son Williams and John Caldwell.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday or an hour prior to services Monday at the mortuary.
