Bertha E. "Sally" Davis, 78, of Muncie, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her residence.
She was born January 19, 1932 in Muncie to Grant, Sr. and Julia Mae (Daughtery) Thomas.
Sally graduated in 1950 from Muncie Central High School.
She worked twenty-two years as a sales associate for Ball Store/Elder Beerman. Sally and her late husband Bruce W. Davis started the Muncie Gun Show in 1970 and promoted it until recently.
Survivors include her children, Garry Davis (wife, Jackie) of Brandon, Mississippi, Peggy Davis (husband, Ted) of Oxford, Mississippi, Bill Davis (wife, Sandy) of Mulberry, Indiana, April Davis of Muncie; sister, Rosalee Zimmerman of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren Chad Davis, Kelly Box (husband, Chris), Jammie Winters, Stephanie Blackwell, Misty Dillon, Krystal Posey-Bray and Katelyn Davis; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; her mother and father; a grandson, Grant; four brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Mortuary and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Parson Mortuary with Rev. James Hilleson officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
