Bettie Jean Hensley of Farmland, Indiana passed away at her residence at the age of 73 on Sunday, February 28, 2021. She was born on August 3, 1947 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Jesse P. and Maxine M. (Greer) Wood.

Bettie graduated from Muncie Central High School and went on to attend Indiana Business College. She worked in Human Resources for Old National from 1966 until 2001. She married the love of her life, Dennis R. Hensley, in the spring of 1967 after meeting him three years earlier on a blind date. She was a member of the Psi-Iota-Xi Women's Sorority, and she loved genealogy of all types and collecting recipes. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Dennis traveled to all 50 states, saving the best for last, Hawaii, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Bettie is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, Amanda, Dave, and Eliza Pallada of Brookville, Indiana and sister, Jessica Walters of Pall Mall, Tennessee.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse P. and Maxine M. (Greer) Wood and husband, Dennis R. Hensley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home.
