Obituary

Betty J. Carver, age 83, of Eaton, IN passed away on Saturday January 10, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 3, 1931 in Louisville, KY she was the daughter of George and Fairlane (Cline) Rose.
Betty was a longtime area resident. She married Delmar Richard Carver in 1950 and was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed reading Amish and prairie books, teaching Sunday school classes, flower gardening, and collecting chicken figurines. She also loved red roses.
Survivors include her children Gary (Joann) Carver of Mooreland, IN, Sherry (Charlie) Blackburn of Albany, IN, Connie Shaneyfelt of Dunkirk, Kathy Cook and Denise (Robert) Tracy both of Eaton, and Cindy Gullion of Pittsboro, IN; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Violet Philley of Summerfield, FL and Kay Ash of Columbus, IN, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Delmar in 2002, grandsons Michael Harrison, Jeremy and Travis Carver, and a step-daughter Nila Davis.
Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:00p.m. Thursday January 15, 2015 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. Indiana 3, Muncie, with calling starting at 11:00a.m. until the time of service at 1:00p.m.
Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
