Betty L. White Schafer, 82, went to join her husband Charles Schafer Saturday, July 12, 2025, Muncie, Indiana.  Betty was the daughter of the late Howard and Bertha White, born May 3,1943 in Winchester, Indiana. She married Charles "Buck" Schafer April 21, 1963.

Betty graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1962.  She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her grandkids and fur-babies. She was an avid animal lover and has had a numerous number of cats and dogs over the years. Betty enjoyed doing different types of puzzles, crocheting, knitting, and embroidering. She enjoyed looking at birds out the window and talking about the weather.  Betty loved listening to her country music on the radio all day long.

In loving memory Betty is cherished by her sons, Jackie (Carol) Schafer of Muncie and Danny (Lori) Schafer of Albany; grandchildren, Amber (Harlan), Jackalynn, Keith Schafer, Rob (Lauren), Bryant Daugherty, David (Jama), Matthew (Kenzi) Wolfe, Dakota, Eric (Kilynn) Redwine; brother, Melvin White; sister, Rita King; 13 great grandchildren, and her beloved dogs Lady Bug, Ginger, Kilo and kitten Petunia.

Betty is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Charles who departed from this life on October 18, 2016; and her daughter Kathy Wolfe; and brother-in-law, Robert King.

We would like to thank Vernon Crisp for all the care that he has given to Betty over the past few years.

Ceremonies to celebrate Betty's life are Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  The funeral is at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Gardens of Memory.
