Betty June Thomas, 86, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at The Lynd House.
She was born in Randolph County, June 10, 1923, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Fisher) Bentz.
Betty was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church. She was a seamstress and loved to cook for her family.
She is survived by a son, Gary Cox, (wife-Lorraine), North Judson; step-son, Richard Thomas Jr., Muncie; two step-daughters, Debbie McKillip, Muncie and Dixie Swift, (husband-Steve), Muncie; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Diana McCormick and a brother, Richard Bentz.
Private services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Martha Lyon officiating.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN.
In lieu of flowers, family request donation be made to Ball Memorial Hospice, 2401 W. University Ave. Muncie, IN 47303-9989.
