Betty J. Warford, 85, of Muncie, IN died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday April 1, 2008 at Countryside Manor in Anderson, Indiana. She was born on December 24, 1922 in Upland, IN the daughter of William and Clara (Wiles) Rayburn. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1941. On February 22, 1943 she married Euclid Warford who preceded her in death on September 26, 1996.
She enjoyed camping and vacationing with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law.
Surviving relatives include one son William S. Warford (wife: Vickie) of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter, Sharon D. Eldridge - Johnson; three sisters, Sarah J. Cox of Muncie; Wanda R. Harvey of Richmond, IN; Oma Handley of Muncie; four grandchildren, David Monty Elridge; Phillip Wayne Eldridge; Chad Miller; Mathew Warford (wife: Heather); nine great-grandchildren, Charis, Dustin, Lauren, Collin, Dillon, Cody, Justin, and Bailey; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 5, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
