Beverly Ellen Gettinger, 88, of Muncie, passed away on August 12, 2020.  She was born on January 11, 1932 in Muncie, IN, to the late F. Dwight and Beulah B. (Dudley) Swain.  She is a 1950 graduate of Muncie Central High School.   Beverly also attended Ball State University.

Beverly worked as a Library Technician for Muncie Public Library for 41 years, before retiring in 1988.  She was a member of the American Business Women's Association Charter Chapter; Indiana Library Association; Ball State University Alumni Association; Nu Phi Mu Sorority; N P M Club for 50 years; AARP; was the Chairman of Muncie Public Library retirees annual holiday luncheons; Friends of Muncie Public Library; Ball Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; Gethsemane United Methodist Church; and High Street United Methodist Church.   Beverly married Joseph B. Gettinger on February 12, 1955.  They were married for 65 years before his passing in January 2020.

Beverly was a loving daughter, wife, and aunt that will be missed by all of her family.  She is survived by her cousins.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph Gettinger.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m., also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Ron Elam.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to High Street United Methodist Church, 219 South High Street, Muncie, IN  47305.  Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
