MUNCIE - Beverly "Sue" Smith, 67, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Sue was born in Muncie on December 30, 1943, the daughter of William and Gladys A. (Campbell) Lutton and attended Muncie Central High School.
Mrs. Smith worked for over fifteen years as a bartender for Kilgore Sports Bar and bartended for several area restaurants over the years. She loved spending time with her family and playing cards and Wii.
Survivors include her daughter, Trina Lampkin, (husband, Rob), Selma; three step-sons, Rodney Smith, Scott Smith, and Jeremey Lane, (wife, Candi), all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; a sister, Alice "Sis" Hildreth, (husband, Paul); two brothers Robert Lutton, (wife, Phyllis), Gaston, and James Lutton, Muncie; two grandchildren, Ashley Bedwell, (companion, Brock Johnson), Muncie, and Carri McCammon, (companion, Brad Hicks), Yorktown; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Kyle, Brooklyn, Payton, Macy, and Chandler; her former husband, Gary A. Smith, Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Todd and Gary Lee Smith; and five brothers, Vernon, Raymond, George, Bill and Donny Lutton.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call at Parson Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 or one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
