Billie Jean Elkins, 86 of Albany, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 10th, 2016 at The Water''s Edge Village in Muncie. He was born June 30th, 1930 in Slabfork, West Virginia and was the son of the late Romie & Louise (McCoy) Elkins.
Billie was a long time faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ; he loved to pass out little red Bibles in the Albany and surrounding areas.
Billie is survived by his two sisters, Charlotte McCormick (Roger) and Shirley Yvonne Skeens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy Lee and Donald Elkins.
Funeral Services for Billie will be held Wednesday, December 14th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Rev. Marion Donathon officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 at the funeral home.
