Billie J. Lee, age 84, of Selma, IN, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at Willow Bend Living Center in Muncie, with her family by her side. She was born January 19, 1927 in Gaston, IN to William and Lottie (Smith) Stotler.
Billie graduated from Royerton High School with the Class of 1945. Billie loved animals, especially her English Cocker Spaniel, Babe. She was an avid bowler and she loved to garden. She was a Selector at Anchor Glass for 24 years, retiring in 1987.
She married Raymond Lee on September 1, 1956 and he survives her along with her brother, Larry Stotler, of Muncie, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Dawn E. Lee, in 1976, and her sisters, LaVaughn Duke, Lucille Ashcraft, Rosemary Byrd, Francis Ashcraft, Anna Laura, and Maxine Townsend.
Funeral services will be private. Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie, IN will be assisting with the arrangements. Burial will take place in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be appreciated to A.R. F. (Animal Rescue Fund), 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303.
