Billie Faye McClurg, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Byrd Memorial Hospital in Leesville, LA. She was born on September 26, 1926 in Slagle, LA to the late Howard Taff and Audrey Mae (Lott) Massie. Billie graduated from Leesville High School in 1944. She married her love Lee McClurg in 1945 in Slagle.
Billie was a housewife all of her life. She was also a charter member of Halteman Village Baptist Church.
Billie is survived by her loving brothers: Howard Taff Massie, Jr. (wife, Rosalie) of Sulphur, LA and Louis David Massie (wife, Ann) of Leesville, LA; grandson Daniel Lee McClurg (wife, Teresa) of San Antonio, TX; great-granddaughter Kenola McClurg; several nieces and nephews; and church friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee McClurg of 62 years; and 2 sons: Jerry McClurg and Donnie McClurg.
Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, has been entrusted with arrangements. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. within Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel. Pastor Tim Overton will officiate the service.
