Billy "Bill" J. Bowling, Jr.,67, of Muncie, passed away on February 12, 2026, in his home.  He was born in Muncie, Indiana, on October 18, 1958, to Billy Bowling Sr. and Myrtle "Sarah" C. (Bright) Bowling.

He graduated from Muncie Central High School and later served in the United States Army.

He cherished nothing more than his role as a professional grandpa. He dedicated countless, joyful hours to his grandchildren, teaching them life's simple pleasures and skills from fishing and woodworking.  He took part in many chili cook-offs and grilled an unmatched steak cooked to perfection while spending time with friends and family at Jellystone Park in Pierceton.  He also took pride in keeping his yard pristine and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Fox of Muncie; children, Amber (Ty) Anderson of Muncie and Josh Fox of Muncie; grandchildren, Issac, Audrey, Adysen, Ethan, and Joel Anderson, Lexus Amerson, and Ashton Fox; special nieces, Ashley Balderroma and Tasha Verma; brother, Larry (Kim) Bowling; sisters, Penny Bowling, Nikki (Wes) Hayes, and Judy Bowling; aunt, Janet Bowling Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Tonya Bright; several special aunts and uncles; and nephew, Larry Joe Bowling, Jr.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 IN-3, Muncie, Indiana 47303.

A service celebrating Billy's life begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the funeral home with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating.

Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
