Bobby Joe Stinson, Sr., 89, of Muncie died Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2018 at Golden Living Center. He was born July 22, 1929 in Lafayette, TN and was the son of the late Harvie & Anna (McClurd) Stinson.

Bobby proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Warner Gear after 40 years of dedicated service. Bobby was a true outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, boat and go camping. He loved being with his family and enjoyed NASCAR races. Bobby was a member of the American Legion Post #321 and the AMVETS Post #12. He and his late wife Anna Jean Stinson attended Jackson Park Baptist Church.

Bobby is survived by two children Terry G. Stinson of Muncie and Deborah D. Lehman "Sam" (Mike) of Muncie; six grandchildren Jeremy Stinson of Muncie, Travis Stinson of Yorktown, Samantha Stephens (Cole) of Upland, Jason Stinson of Muncie, Chelsea Stinson of Muncie and Michael Lehman (Rhiannon Vester) of Muncie; five great-grandchildren Austin Stinson, Reanna Stinson, Rylen Stinson, Brady Stinson and Brecken Stephens; a sister Carol Wilkerson (Freddie) of Glasgow, KY; two sister-in-laws Paulette Brawner (Maxie) of West Moreland, TN and Donna Kay Anderson (Jimmy) of Scottsville, KY; a brother-in-law Paul Stinson of Scottsville, KY; a daughter-in-law Debra Stinson(Sharp) of Yorktown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna Jean Stinson; a son Bobby Joe Stinson, Jr. and a sister Dixie Adams.
