Bobby Kay Winchester passed away on his birthday, Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 79 in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born on January 29, 1942 to the late Arlie and Edna (Burnett) Winchester in McQueary County, Kentucky.

Bobby married Evelyn Marie Simpson and together they raised two children. He was ordained as a preacher on November 20, 1976 and became a mason on August 22, 1979. He was a 32nd degree mason. He retired from General Motors in Muncie, Indiana. He was a loving father, relative, and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Debbie Lair (Kerry); son, Robert Winchester (Jody); three grandchildren, Rachel Cantrell (Mike), Doug Winchester (Aimee), and Kelly Phillips (Ryan); five great grandchildren, Mason, Kayle, Caleb, Sammy, and Emmeline; and many family members and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Edna (Burnett) Winchester; wife, Evelyn Winchester; one sister; and three brothers.

Private visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with private funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Dwayne Loveless.
