Boby E. Wade, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at his residence in Muncie. He was born August 14, 1927, in Piggot, Arkansas, the son of Elbert and Maude Worley Wade. He moved to Muncie as a child and attended Muncie schools.
Mr. Wade at one time served in the Merchant Marines.
He was employed at Delco Battery until his retirement in 1978.
Surviving are three daughters, Pam Adams, Janey Wade, (friend, Kim), and Becky Thornburg, (friend, John), all of Muncie; six grandchildren, David Adams, (wife, Cindy), Julie Tolliver, (huaband, Bruce), Jenny Betters, (husband, Jason), John Gibiser, Adam Thornburg and Jacob Thornburg; and four great-grandchildren, Katelyn Betters, Kelly Tolliver, Riley Adams and Dakotah Winters; and his dog, Scruffy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace Wade, who died in 1994; and his son-in-law, Tom Thornburg.
Committal services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Gardens of Memory where burial will follow.
There will be no calling hours.
