Surrounded by family, Boyd A. Hall, 78, was carried on angels' wings to heaven on January 9, 2010 after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer.
He was retired from C&O Rail Road. He was a member of True Vine Holiness Tabernacle where he also served as a Deacon.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bernice Hall of Muncie; step-children, Deacon Fred (Emma) Sloss of Athens Ala, Deacon Charles (Sylvia) Sloss of Muncie, Pastor Jimmy (Thelma) Sloss of Indianapolis, Pastor Douglas (Bette) Sloss of Muncie, Francis (James) Pride of Kokomo; one sister, Zola M. Boone of St. Louis Missouri; 23 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Argatha "Cheet" Hall and Gillie D. Hall; one daughter, Dorothy "Dot" Marie Kirk; two brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral Service will be Saturday January 16, 2010 at 12:00 noon at True Vine Holiness Tabernacle.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the church.
Pastor Douglas Sloss will be officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN.
