Boyd Dale Propes, 50, of Desoto, IN died at 9:40 a.m. Saturday May 26, 2007 at the Marion VA Hospital in Marion, IN after an extended illness. He was born on August 12, 1956 in Muncie, IN the son of Boyd G. Propes and Sandra Raleen'' (McCreery) Huston and now step-son of Raymond Huston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Dale enjoyed being involved with the boy scouts when he was young. He also enjoyed fishing with his father and being outdoors enjoying nature.
Surviving relatives include his mother Sandra Raleen'' Huston (husband: Raymond) of Desoto, IN; two brothers, Greg Propes of Oklahoma and Rex Propes of North Carolina; two step-brothers, Danny Huston (wife: Vickie) of Albion, IN and Jerry Huston (wife: Liz) of Houston, TX; one step sister, Penny Hyatt (husband: Tony) of New Castle, IN; two nieces, Ashley and Kristen Propes. Also surviving are several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 29, 2007 at the Gardens of Memory Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the Marion VA Hospital in memory of Boyd Dale Propes.
