Obituary

Brennan L. Rhoades, 35, of Selma, IN, passed away at 9:49pm, on March 9, 2026, in Gaston, IN. He was born in Muncie, Indiana on August 6, 1990, to John I. and Carole J. (Franks) Rhoades.

He graduated from Yorktown High School, Class of 2009. He served in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged after service.  His most recent employment was as a Project Estimator with Deem Mechanical for over 10 years.

He enjoyed shooting, riding dirt bikes, tinkering, spending time with family and friends, and tomfoolery. He enjoyed almost anything involving outdoor activities and was always drawn towards water; rather it be surfing, boating, snorkeling etc.  His cabin was a special place for him.  Brennan had a kind gentle heart that loved deeply. He didn't know a stranger and was happiest when he was with his children. Although Brennan was only physically here on this earth for a short 35 years, he lived those years to the fullest.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his parents, John I. and Carole J. (Franks) Rhoades of Daleville; children, Zoey Layne Winkle-Rhoades of Yorktown, Jack Wesley Rhoades of Yorktown, and Lakelyn Kapri Rhoades of Winchester; brother, Bryce Rhoades (wife, Haley) of Yorktown; sister, Brittney L. Nicoll (husband Addison) of Yorktown; nieces, Camryn Nicoll of Yorktown, Sophia Rhoades of Yorktown; and nephew, Hunter Rhoades of Yorktown; maternal grandmother, Robin Franks Curtis of Englewood FL; paternal step-grandfather, Paul Leroy Parvis of Muncie; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and multiple special friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Jimmie W. Franks; paternal grandfather, Jack R. Rhoades; and paternal grandmother, Sharon S. Parvis.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on March 21, 2026 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

A service to celebrate Brennan's life will begin at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home.

His burial will occur at a later date, with a private family graveside service.
