Carolyn Sue (Hall) Atchley, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away with family by her side at the age of 80 on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on September 27, 1940 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Charles and Lenora Frances (Clary) Hall.

Carolyn graduated from Muncie Central High School and married James F. Atchley, Sr. on September 27, 1958. She made a life and home with him and their two children, Elaine and Jim, Jr.

Carolyn adored and cherished her two grandchildren, grandson, Douglas and granddaughter, Jaime more than anything. They blessed her with four great grandchildren; Addison, Natalie, Rylee, and Gavin. She loved going to lunch and shopping on Saturdays with her daughter and granddaughter and always made sure her son-in-law, Doug, got the lunch leftovers. She always looked forward to visits from and babysitting for her grand-pup, Asti. She loved dancing the night away and traveling with her husband, Jim before he passed away in 2006. She was a member of Full Gospel Temple in Muncie, where she also met her best friend, Sandy.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Doug Lowe of Muncie, Indiana; son, Jim Atchley, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann of Muncie, Indiana; two grandchildren, Douglas Lowe, Jr. (Ginny) of Jacksonville, Florida and Jaime Weisheit (Braden) of Tucson, Arizona; four great grandchildren, Addison and Natalie Lowe of Jacksonville, Florida and Rylee and Gavin Weisheit of Tucson, Arizona; her grand-pup, Asti Lowe of Muncie, Indiana; brothers, Larry Hall (Linda) and Bill Hall of Muncie, Indiana; sister, Nancy Hill (Bill) of Muncie, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Atchley, Sr.; parents, Charles and Lenora (Clary) Hall; sister, Ann (Hall) Stewart; and brother, Jack Hall.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with services following at 2:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Denny Helton. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
