Carolyn "Sue" Fodrea of Farmland, Indiana passed away at the age of 82 on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on July 25, 1938 in Luray, Indiana to the late Edgar and Geraldine (Eckrote) Ray.
Sue graduated from Mt. Summit High School and began working as a dietician at Parker City Health Care until her retirement in 2001 after 35 years. She married William E. Fodrea on August 29, 1969 in Muncie, Indiana. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, western movies, and shopping at flea markets. She attended church in Parker City and was a member of WCTU.
Sue is survived by her husband, William E. Fodrea; daughters, Diana Fodrea of Muncie, Indiana and Brenda Fodrea (Allen Ried) of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepsons, Edward Fodrea (Christine) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, George Fodrea of Parker City, Indiana, and Daniel Fodrea (Beth) of Winchester, Indiana; sister, Pam Baker (Maury) of Huntington, Indiana; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Geraldine (Eckrote) Ray and sister, Judith Cedras.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM, also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. COVID-19 Limitations: Effective Monday, February 8, 2021, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 50 people wearing masks inside or outside. Once the maximum is reached, additional visitors will be permitted for entry only as others exit. Again, masks are still required at both locations.
