Catherine F. McIntire of Eaton, Indiana passed away at the age of 98 at home the afternoon of Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on March 3, 1923 to the late Lewis F. Murphy and Emma B. Ammon.

Catherine married Ira A. McIntire on January 1, 1941 in Muncie, Indiana and became a loving wife and mother. Family was very important to her. She loved her cats.

Catherine is survived by one daughter, Shirley McFarland (Fred) of Eaton, Indiana and one son, Sam McIntire of Eaton, Indiana; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis F. Murphy and Emma B. Ammon; her husband, Ira A. McIntire; six brothers and sisters, Prince Murphy, Virgil Murphy, Joy Flick (Claude), Mae Lou Watkins ("Sonny" Russell), Charles Murphy, and Marvin Murphy.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Faith Builders Ministry, 1207 South Madison Street, Muncie, Indiana 47302.
