Charles Edward Ammon, 70 of Albany, died Thursday afternoon, November 17th, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 2nd, 1946 in Muncie, Indiana and was the son of Benjamin & Nellie Ammon.
Charles retired from Borg Warner Gear after 26 years of service as a press operator. He loved woodworking and being a jokester. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling in many Allies'' in the area. Charles was a member of the UAW Local #287.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Bonnie Lee Ammon (Marsh) of Albany; two sons John Ammon of Farmland and Chad Ammon of Muncie; a daughter Angela Everroad (Jason) of Muncie, and a step-daughter Kimberly Gray (John) of Muncie; two sisters: Martha Outen of Springhill, FL and Carol Jane Flinn (Charlie) of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Megan Bicknell, Erica Reum, J.D. Scudder, McKenzie Scudder and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral Services for Charles will be held Monday, November 21st, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Warren Willie and Chaplin Abby officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
