FISHERS - Charles Albert Barrett, 78, of Fishers and formerly of Muncie passed away Sunday, November 15, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel.
He was born February 22, 1932 in Beattyville, Kentucky to Joe and Agnes (Charles) Barrett.
Charles worked at General Motors for forty years as production worker.
Charles proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Lucille (Scott) Barrett; his step-daughter, Judith Mathews, Spiceland; four sisters, Mildred Duncan, Mabel Hammond, Helen Peters and Rosemary Fisher all of Muncie; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ray Barrett and two sisters, Billy Martin and Jeanie Daniels.
Funeral services were Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Parson Mortuary. Burial was at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Military rites were conducted at the cemetery by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
