Charles Raymond Conn, 68, of Muncie, died early Tuesday morning, November 13th, 2012 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born August 13th, 1944 in Muncie, IN., and was the son of the late Randolph Raymond & Helen Alyne (Ward) Conn.
Charles retired in 1996 from Delco Battery after 31 ½ years of service. He was a member of Whitney Lodge #229, Eastern Star #568, Murpah Shrine Club, Mizpah Shrine Club of Ft. Wayne, and UAW Local 489 Delco Battery. He was employed as a groundskeeper at Maplewood Golf Course. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy Ellen (Davis) Conn of Muncie; a daughter Paula Rench (Joe) of Daleville; a son Kent R. Conn (Lenora) of Detroit, MI., two grandsons Jordan J. & Kaleb C. Rench of Daleville; two sisters Cindy Winningham (Jim) of Muncie and Sally Bish (Tom) of TX.; step-father Paul Haskett of Muncie; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Charles will be held, Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and Friends may call Friday, November 16th, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Lodge of Sorrow Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Whitney Lodge # 229 on Friday.
