Charles H. Charlie'' Fogle, 66, of Yorktown, IN, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital, in Muncie. He was born on April 10, 1943 in Muncie, IN, the son of Charles L. and Virginia F. (Conway) Fogle.
Charles is a 1961 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Charles also attended Ball State University with studies in accounting. Charles married the love of his life, Gayle Hudson on September 28, 1963 in Portland, IN. Charles was a sales delivery driver for Colonial Bakery in Muncie for 34 years, retiring in 1998.
Charles loved to read a good mystery, political and/or historical book; enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening; and enjoyed music. He was a member of Yorktown Book Club as well as Muncie Teamster''s Local #135. But above all, Charles was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Charles is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gayle Fogle; son Darrin Fogle (wife, Kim) of Muncie; daughter Candy (Fogle) Washburn (husband, Vance) of Hartland, WI; mother Virginia Fogle of Muncie; brothers John Fogle of Muncie, and Jim Fogle of Selma; sister Corrine (Fogle) Anderson of Muncie; 5 grandchildren: Troy and Drew Fogle; and Savannah, Abbigayle, and Maggie Rose Washburn; as well as several nieces and nephews. Charles is also survived by wonderful in-laws: Barbara and David Keith; Jack and Sheila Hudson; and John and Judy Montcastle.
Charles was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN. Pastor Charles Bell will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the funeral home. Internment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
