A graveside service was held for Charles Goodman who died at his home June 14. He was born in Vandalia, Illinois, moving to the Yorktown/Gaston area as a young man. He graduated from Harrison Township in 1945, then served 3 years in the Army. He retired from Westinghouse Transformer Assembly. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Fedor).

Mr. Goodman is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles C. and Hazel Goodman, North Port, Florida and his daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Mike Cravens, Wellington, Alabama. There are 3 grand children : Eric (Kelly ) Goodman - Huntington, Kelli (James) Martin- Indianapolis, Stacy (Aarick) Garringer- Farmland ; 9 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
