Charles T. Hickman, 87, of Muncie, IN died unexpectedly Wednesday October 15, 2008 at Renaissance Rehabilitation Center in Muncie. He was born on April 14, 1921 in Muncie, IN the son of George Delbert and Lydia Marie (Naas) Hickman. He married Betty (McGuire) Hickman who preceded him in death in 1969. On March 15, 1981 he married Delphi Hickman who also preceded him in death in 2003.
He was a member of the Muncie Church of God and the Avondale Sympathy Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to church. He worked at Chevrolet in Muncie for 30 years.
Surviving relatives include two sons and one daughter, Logan Dwight Hickman (wife: Diana); Donald D. Hickman (wife: Kathy); Barbara E. Jones all of Muncie; four step sons, Wayne Warren of Morehead, KY; Zane and Jerry Warren both of Marengo, IN, Terry Warren (wife, Phyllis) of Mill Town, IN; one sister, Ellen E. Livingston of Muncie; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 18, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Ryan O''Neil will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
