Charles "Chuck" Leroy Coates
April 27, 1962 – April 2, 2025

Charles "Chuck" Leroy Coates, age 62, of Selma, Indiana, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on April 2, 2025. Born on April 27, 1962, Chuck lived a life deeply rooted in faith, love, and service to others.

Chuck was a man of unwavering faith, with a profound love for Jesus Christ that was the cornerstone of his life. His daily Bible study brought him comfort and strength, and his faith inspired all who knew him. A proud graduate of Ball State University, Chuck's dedication to service extended to his time in the National Guard, where he rose to the rank of Captain.

Chuck's compassion knew no bounds, particularly in his care for his aging parents, whom he lovingly supported during their later years. He found peace in his flower garden, where he spent hours nurturing its beauty, and joy in the companionship of his beloved dogs.

Chuck is survived by his loving mother, Gladys Coates, and his sister Vicki Dobbs (Jimmy). He is also survived by his four children: Tristan Coates, Hannah Rushing, Lee Coates, and April Coffin, as well as his cherished grandson, Major. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Coates, and his brother, Robbie Coates.

Chuck will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his strong faith, his service to his country, his devotion to his family, and his kind, gentle spirit.

Family will have a visitation for family and friends  on April 15, 2025, 12:00pm until 2:00 pm with funeral service starting at 2:00 pm Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. St Rd 3, Muncie, Indiana. Burial will that place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana.
